This post is going to be about a discussion my wife
and I had just a couple of weeks ago.
First of all, let me tell you how this all began. A
guy approached my wife at work about a network marketing
company. He wanted her on his team, because she is
always in a great mood, and she is always making people smile.
I have been in many network marketing companies, so I
went with her to the meeting. I told her that it was a
MLM he was going to tell her about, even though he made it sound different.
Anyway, while at the meeting she got real excited. He
set up right. He had other money-makers in the company
there. I let her make the decision about joining. I didn’t
want to join another company, because I have my own online
business that I promote. I told her I would be supportive either way.
She decided to join. We found out that one of the top
money earners was going to be in Dillon, SC in a couple
of weeks. Of all places, this guy was coming to Dillon…that
is our hometown, so we decided to drive to see him.
It takes about 1.5 hours to get to Dillon, so that gave
us time to talk. I asked her what would she do even if,
she didn’t get paid for it, but you didn’t have to worry about money either?
She told me she wanted to be a Life Coach. She wants to
help as many people feel the way she feels. “BUT… I don’t
know how to go about it,” she said.
Well, we started brainstorming. After an hour of
brainstorming, she knew exactly what she wanted to do.
So, I had to ask, “Are you passionate about this network
marketing company?” She said, “No, I was trying to make
myself be passionate. I jumped in because of all the
excited people who were around at the meeting, but it is not what I want to do.”
So as fast as she signed up, she quit. Here is the way
we see it. It took her joining that company for her to
work through whatever it was to find her true passion.
Now she has her goals set. She knows that she will
accomplish her dreams, now because she is passionate
about what it is she wants to do.
Do you know your true passion? Leave me a comment below,
telling me what you are truly passionate about.
Have a Fabulous Day,

What a great story. Being in the network marketing business isn’t for everyone but it has given so many people the inspiration that they needed to find they way to their passions.

Jadan that is a great story and you did several things in telling it. First you shared how you would counsel with someone without trying to force them to see your point of view which is very important in network marketing, especially when it is our own family member. Two you accepted her decision and decided to support what she wanted to do, a trait necessary in both a spouse and a partner in business. And third through positive brain-storming you helped her actually get in touch with what she is really passionate about and therefore she will be a great asset in your business!

It’s great that your wife found it so easy to look within herself and truly see what she wanted. And be honest to you about why she felt so drawn to them. Not many people can do that. You guys seem to have a great connection and clearly bring out the best in each other.

Hey Jaden, I enjoyed your story so much. It is so easy to grab at those shiny things we come across every day. She will make a wonderful coach because she dug deep inside herself and knew what she really wanted. Thanks for sharing and if there is anything I can help with please let me know.

Passion is huge when doing anything… working your biz, blogging, teaching, etc. I always like to be stern at the conferences that I speak at about being passionate, especially for bloggers. The reason, I have been blogging for so long and have seen a lot of potentially great bloggers fall through the cracks. If you do not have the passion to learn your niche and then blog about it, why bother as the motivation might last a couple months at the least and at the most, a year. That is a waste.
I wish your wife the best in her new passion. May she stay fired up for a long time.

My passion is helping network marketers in my local area who have or had a business move to new levels in business with niche strategies to survive in a down economy. Before anything starts we have to know and utilize a defined niche and create everything around that niche.

This is an awesome story Jaden, I’m so glad you shared! How awesome that she was so easily able to tap into what she REALLY wants from life and that you were present and aware enough to help her speak it out. She’s very blessed to have you in her life and you are blessed by the experiences you’ve had in prior companies that make you aware of the need to help her find that very thing. She’s going to go far with you by her side. There is so much she can do today! Let me know if you need anything.

Thanks for sharing this experience that you and your wife had,
It can be easy to get caught up in the enthusiasm of the moment and take an action that might reflect the moment more than deeper values.
One thing that I think is really interesting is that your wife is bright and happy most of the time, which means that she is in a higher energetic place than most people.
The biggest problem that the average person faces is resistance, especially resistance to change. It is the natural order of things that we continually expand and evolve. Most people meet new opportunity with a furrowed brow and arms crossed and resist any change like their lives depended on it. Rare individuals like your wife will always be better off than those who push things away because through her decision she was able to connect with her deeper passion.
If we can allow ourselves to be more free and expanding while also keeping one eye on what matters most to us, we can enjoy the best of both worlds.

Jaden, I enjoyed your story. It is so true that we get caught up in so much hype that we lose or are unsure of our true passion. Sometimes we all must take astep back and evaluate who we are and what we stand for. Hats off to your wife for realizing her passion early enough so that not much time had been wasted in order for her to share here true passion of a LIfe Coach. Thanks

I’m glad your wife found her true passion, Jaden. I believe that many people join network marketing opportunities, as she did, based on the excitement of the moment and the dream building that goes on at these gatherings. Nothing wrong with all that, and sometime it helps you actually see what you really want to do, which isn’t always the business you signed up for.

Hi Jaden,
Great post … finding your passion is not as easy as it is made out to be.
With all the trials of life sometimes we just loose our real passion and settle for ..whatever!
It was great that you were able to help your wife find her passion.
Thanks for sharing

Hey Jaden,
Great story on discovering Christi’s passion, that’s awesome bud!
I know that Christi is going to be awesome because she has found her passion and not the passion of someone else … sometimes we do confuse the passions of others as our own.
I also commend both of you for your support in each other … drawing strength and support from each other only enhances your passions and increases your opportunity for success.
Thanks so much for sharing Jaden.

I am so happy Jaden. I didn’t know life could be this wonderful. I am glad we are following our dreams. AND I am glad we are doing it together.

Great post, Jaden! You are so right about the need to be legitimately interested about what you are doing. I am not talking about the blahs, because everyone goes through those once in a while, but whether or not you are really doing what you want to do. If you are your own boss, there is not the external pressure you need to force yourself in those situations.
Also, on a side note, I don’t know why I just noticed that you are from Dillon, SC, but there was a guy I went to college with for a couple of years from Dillon, so it really is a small world after all!

Hey Jaden,
This is great! I believe the training, sales experience, and teamwork you can learn in many network marketing teams is worth more than the money most people make in their business.
Best of luck to your wife in her new dream… it sounds like she has a supportive husband to help her through the peaks and valleys!
All the best,
