Do You Have Time To Build A Network Marketing Business?

by admin on August 17, 2011

Time for Network marketing How much time do you need to build a successful network marketing business?

I started in network marketing because of the big
dreams of being financially independent.  When I
started, I believed that I wouldn’t have to work at
it.  I believe that my upline was going to build my
business for me.  All I had to do was just sit back
and pay my monthly dues and the money would roll in.
My upline told me so.  He really did.

I found out, real quick, that did not work.  So, I
joined another company.  Of course, I blamed the
company for my nonsuccessful outcome.

What does this have to do with time?  Well that was
always my excuse why I couldn’t build my own business.
I work two jobs, and I don’t have time to put towards
building a successful business.

I joined a team in my new network marketing business.
I was told upfront.  If you want to join our team, we
would love to have you but you are going to have to
put forth the work to be successful.  No excuses.  We
will help you anyway we can, but you have to build your
own network marketing business.

Of course, I said, “I understand, but I don’t have time.
How can I really build a business?”  Really?  Who in their
right mind thinks that you can open a business and then
just sit back.  I was told to figure out my “WHY” and once
you know your “WHY” you will find time.

So now how much time does it take to build a network
marketing business.

Aren’t you glad, I am finally getting to the point of this blog.

I get up every morning about 7:00.  I take my shower,
eat breakfast, and then I am on the computer working my
business.  I leave my house at 8:25.  You see that is
not much time, but I use it wisely.

On my commute to work, I listen personal-improvement
audios. I used to listen to music, but since I changed,
my life has improved.

I work at a liquor store in the mornings.  I asked the
bossman if I bought internet service would it be okay
to do some work while on the clock.  My bossman, (my step-dad)
said, “No problem, as long as it didn’t interfere with my
responsibilities getting done.”

I work from 9:00 until 2:00.  I am not sure how much time I
average online while I am at work, but at least I do get
a few things done.

After I leave at 2:00 I go straight to my other job.  I
work until 9:30.  When I get home, I get everything ready
for the next day, and then back online again.  I usually
don’t go to bed to after midnight.

I am excited about my business growing.  I have decided
to start getting up at 6:00 to give me an extra hour to
work, but I always find time to spend with my family.

One other thing, when my body feels like it needs a
rest…I rest.  I try to eat healthier, take supplements,
and workout to have as much energy as I possibly can.
But sometimes, using time to rest is also beneficial.

I hope you found how I spend my time beneficial to you.
I would love to hear how you spend your time running your
network marketing business. Leave me a comment and maybe
we can share more ideas.

Great Article,
It’s impressive to see that many want to do Network Marketing but do not want to work to receive the results there wishing for. I like the way you put your thoughts out there which many think but don’t say they just blame the industry not there efforts.
Thanks for the great insite,

Thanks Jaden. You are inspiring and leading by example. You are doing exactly what it takes to build a successful business. Network marketing works if you want it bad enough and willing to pay the price of success. As much as it is easier to make 6 and 7 figure income in Network Marketing Industry, success does not happen overnight. A lot of people however get lost in the hype and forget that you have to put in hard work to make this kind of income. Time management is very important whether you are building a business part time or full time. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jaden,
I see that you have a very full schedule. I am also very glad that you are working on building a residual income for yourself and your family. I see that you have been through some “learning experiences” already! And it appears that your are learning and growing.
Finding time to get everything done is always a challenge. It just so happens that Gavin is putting on his Time Management Webinar this very evening! I practice a lot of time management, but can always be improved upon and am looking forward to what Gavin has to say!
Thanks for your great article!
Keep up the great work!
Linda

Jaden,
Fabulous post. When you know your why and are passionate about it you will find a way.
And a smart upline is brilliant to tell you this IS work and they’ll meet you in the middle but this is YOUR business. Uplines are here to help and not do it for you. I am very supportive of my team and will give them all I can but they have to show me they deserve it. Not just by making sales but by working their business. If someone doesn’t tell me what they’ve been up to, where they’ve been prospecting or advertising online, I spend less time with them until they can show me they aren’t sitting on their tush.

Also, I have started to get up an extra hour early to get some quite time to finish up on paperwork and other things. Supporting a team takes time. It is worth it but it takes time.

And yes, my body shuts down sometimes, so taking time to rest is critically important!

Have a great day.

Thanks for sharing your inspirational story Jaden. I cringe every time I see one of those “get rich quick” pitches because I can’t help but think of the people who are in desperate financial situations that will buy into that nonsense. I remind myself every day that where I am today is based on decisions made yesterday … so the decisions and actions I take today, will translate into my life this time next month, next year and in a decade.

Hey Jaden,

Great article, what a wonderful idea!

Not having time is an excuse that far too many people use these days. I love it when you said “I was told to figure out my “WHY” and once you know your “WHY” you will find time.” – I would like to add if I could that if you figure out your “WHY” and you’re still not able to find the time then your “WHY” isn’t big enough!

Do you have to make sacrifices, absolutely. Are they worth it? Well, I typing this in the middle of the day, with my kids in the house, not wearing any shoes! Yes it’s worth it, every minute.

Thanks for sharing your story Jaden, and for making the time to build your business for your family and others who you help along the way.

Kevin
