Addictions…You Can Overcome Them

by admin on August 7, 2010

Everyone has an addiction or has had an addiction of some sort. Some people are addicted to food, which is triggered by some kind of emotion. The same goes for alcohol and drugs. All of these addictions are a result of someone not being happy with their true self.

Look at the people who are addicted to drama. You know these people have to be miserable. I know a few people that are like that which I have distant myself from. I couldn’t handle that negative energy around me.

I have to say that I am addicted to Diet Mountain Dew. I know how bad it is for me, but I keep drinking them. I recently read that you can overcome your addictions if you ask your Spirit Guides for help.

I decided hey what do I have to lose. I asked to be released from my addiction to Diet Mountain Dew, today. I will let you know what happens.

Spirit Guides, Higher Self, Our Non-Physical Selves…., we are much more than our physical selves that’s for sure. I read somewhere that we are spiritual beings having a physical experience & ‘not so good for us’ habits & addictions are definatly eased by tapping into the incredible power & allowing it to assist us be more than we are & everything we can be.

Hi Jaden:

My addiction is to sugar. I bought some stevia today to start breaking the sugar habit. Wish me luck, oh tribe member! Good look on your Mountain Dew journey. Caffeine is a hard one.

Wishing you a song in your heart,

Leslie

Aloha Jaden,

Wow, congratulations on facing your addiction. I am one of those who was addicted to food and I did a blog post about it. Let me know if I can assist you in anyway.

Take care & aloha,
Kellie :)

Hey Jaden, thanks for bringing up this topic. We all have addictions, but I think that we first have to recognize them. Being true to ourselves. Then, as Val said above, work on them a little at a time.
It is all a matter of changing behavior. God knows how many times I’ve gone through different modalities to change my behavior on this topic. I was an “enabler” and that took education, therapy and application. Addictions are difficult, but there is so much help out there, anyone could reach out for it.
Thanks Jaden for this blog post.

Jaden,
With a strong conviction and desire, anything can be overcome. Support from others is so important in stressful times. One tip, break your time down – got through this minute, now the next. when that gets easier – got through that 15 minutes – got through that hour – got through that day. This is so much easier than thinking of a huge chunk of time. Step by step you can handle anything!
Val :)

Brother, we can over come anything, our spirit guide is our higher self in another dimension. I have faith in you and know you can overcome anything you set your mind to do. When one love thy self, then taking care of self is easy.
